Entry
Before (I'd already started tearing the wallpaper down.):
Brown fabric-like wallpaper (over two other layers of wallpaper) on top half of wall, cream colored paneling on bottom half of wall.
After:
Wallpaper removed, few coats of drywall mud to get smooth walls. Yellow paint with brown glaze over top, dragged with large brush for a linen-like texture. White paint on paneling.
Powder Bath
Before:
Wallpaper on top and bottom half of wall, brass fixtures, linoleum floor.
After:
Removed wallpaper and mudded wall until smooth. Painted red and then painted design. White beadboard on bottom half of wall. Spray painted most fixtures same color as kitchen. New faucet (Overstock is getting a boost from us!), new pedestal sink (though we would have used the old one had Connor not pushed the standing base over on the concrete patio and shattered it), new hexagonal-and-square patterned white tile. And one of Ben's shutters.
Living Room
After (Sorry there's no before. It was just cream colored flocked wallpaper.):
Sloppy mud technique over the wallpaper to cover the flocked-ness. Painted a slightly lighter shade than the kitchen on three walls, the fourth the red from the bathroom.

LIZ yall did a GREAT job! I LOVE every room!!! Did you paint the floral print in the bathroom? I bet you just love being home now! Come give me some tips for my house!
Wow, what a great job! Love the wainscotting ? in the bathroom, as well as the wooden counter tops. Was this a work-together project or you working on it all day long? Either way, it's a fabulous make-over.
WOW, Liz... It looks great! Hard work definitely pays off!
LIZ! i love your house! we're redoing ours right now. i saw those same plastic-but-look-like-tin tile things at home depot. how did you do your seems for those? barry is afraid that the seems will stand out
This looks awesome! I think the bathroom design is very daring, but it works. And the kitchen? Complete turn-around. I love it. You're doing a great job.
Wow Liz! Your house looks GREAT! We remolded our house in TN, and even though it was very hard work since we did all the work, the finished project was well worth it. It is so much fun making it yours. I am still attached to that house (even after we moved) because all the hard work & love we put into it. You have done an awesome job! Lots great & I can't wait to come over & see it.
i dont know how i missed this post. liz it looks AMAZING! you both are so talented!
LOVE your home makeover, we have very similar taste. Really love the yellow linen type walls in the hallway as well as your painted cabinets.
